Mr. Oizo: Lamb's Anger
Apparently Mr. Oizo is weird. I still love him. I still want him to be my made coach. I still want everyone to appreciate his music. I just bought the new album, Lamb's Anger. Check one of the tracks featuring Uffie along with the cover art below.
On another note, a good Chuck Norris quote I heard...
If you have five dollars and Chuck Norris has five dollars he has more money than you.

I tell a few people the story of the first time I saw the frontin video, I was like, I'm getting all of the clothes in the video. Like a sucker, I got some. I dont regret it though. I wear that stuff until this day.
If I didnt have work tomorrow I would get this shirt. Look at it here on the BBC Ice Cream blog.
Happy Thanksgiving.

808's and Heartbreak...
After listening to the album for the third time in 18 hours, I must say I really like it. I wasn't sure if I was going to like the auto-tune on every track, but I fell like it creates a the consistent theme for the album. It greatly differs from all of his previous albums, not only because of the auto-tune and the tribal drums, but because of it's seemingly dark and dreary undertone. Being that I am a big fan of Kanye, I'm excited because I can see that his music to come will only be more eclectic; and being a hip hop man at heart, I love the fact that a rapper can be so multi-dimensional. Very interesting album. I suggest you buy it…

Vintage Stuff
Vintage Cam and Jim Jones in '99. Check Zeekey in the back, dumb funny. Anyway, check the video at around 7:25 for one of the hottest freestyles on youtube. You could let it load and listen there or just listen to the beginning where Cam gives a couple words of wisdom and gives you an idea of how his life was when he was young.

First the Fat Boys Break Up....
First the fat boys break up, then KIMBO SLICE(AKA Your worst Nightmare) gets fucked up then... Nothing else. It was kind of a fluke if you ask me but you can see it here. Anyway, I am off for a couple of days. I am about to have a ball.
I am gonna do a short trip to Seattle to see one of my boys with me lass and I am going to see my friend Jackie's opening and then experience one of the best places in the world, L.A. (so they say) for my first time. Then I have the rest of the week off to go to homecoming. Check out Jackies Website. I want to put up one of her pictures but you know artists dont make it easy for you. Maybe I will interview her for the blog or something....

Looking forward to it...

Listen to Chester French
Chester French Fall 08 Tour Diary Episode 1 from Chester French on Vimeo.
When the Tomcats had a radio show, I used to go and be like 'Listen to Chester French'. I love them. I used to sing some of the songs when I was on the show and look like a jerk. Well, sound like a jerk. Finally they are coming to my town. Well not Brooklyn but close.
They are gonna be here on Oct 4 with N.E.R.D. and Common.
We in there.
Just watch the end of the video.

Kaws
I became familiar with Kaws when I used to buy a lot of BAPE stuff in '04 '05. I remember I went in the store and they were telling me these new sneakers were coming out designed by the same guy who did some of the clothes. Kaws. (I guess this was pre-Original Fake?) You can see the pic of one of my shirts with the BAPE ape on it. I liked those. I still wear them sometimes. Anyway, I did this paper on street art and KAWS came to mind again. In my 'research' I stumbled upon this old video of him hitting the streets in the olden days.
1997 KAWS!
So that was about 5 months or so ago. Recently I heard he had an exhibit in Miami. I just saw the pictures. Dope. You can see more at Supertouch.

That means 'this is true' in french. I Love to listen to Flex on HOT97. He is cool as a DJ but I love the commentary. I love when he figures out clever ways to ask people how much money they and when he tells us about which cars are bad. Here is what he thinks about R. Kelly.

How To Eat Fried Worms
I just bought 5 used cd's off of Amazon the other day. One of which was music from someone who I have been obsessing over during the last couple of months. Who is it?
Mr. Oizo. Yea, you guessed it. Mr. Oizo's - When Analog Worms Attack. I wanna be on some independent TV channels version of Made where I was an aspiring DJ/Producer and Mr. Oizo was my mentor, then he liked me after the show and then we became cool. I am gonna listen to this a couple of times. I have another one of his cd's coming in the mail. Early.

The Iphone Chronicles....
Hello everyone, I would like to welcome you to my very first segment of a collection of post I will be writing about. The post happen to be about one of the most important possessions I own; my cellular phone. My cell is more than just a phone for me, its like the other half of my brain.
I Purchased the Iphone 3G 2 days after I came out. So I was involved in the excitement of whole wait on line thing at the Apple store on 14h st. I was still on the fence about getting the phone for a couple of reasons: I still had service on T-mobile, and I have been a faithful blackberry user for the past 3 years, so I was very skeptical. But one thing prevailed over everything – the Iphone seemed so damn cool!
So now I have AT&T and a brand new phone. I am still not 100% sure If I have made the right decision. Blackberry is so so business-like, faster and has less defects. I have already went through two software updates with the Iphone and it has been a nightmare both times with me losing data. And although I have gotten a lot better at typing on the screen, its just not the same. Talks of this new Blackberry Thunder is killing me as well. I hear its going to be so dope! Through all this, I still like it. To tell the truth, its niftiness is unmatched… anyway, I am a tech guy, and I've just had the phone for just over a month, so I know that I will pushing this phone to its limits in the times to come. But one thing is for sure- If Big Brother Billy Gates and Stevie Jobs don’t demand an effective Copy & Paste solution soon, I'm gonna FLIP!!!
Till’ next time…
Is...Is that my Car???....
Only in New York Man!!! No, I was not a victim to some chick getting back at me for revenge; I was a recipient of a random act of burglary! To be honest, I would probably feel better if it were a chick who did that to me. At least I would be able to stomach it a little better. But anyway, my wheels were broken into because of my GPS... My Damn GPS. A GPS that someone is going to sell for what..$50 bucks!!! Yea yea, I know they tell you to keep in hidden. I did! Dude went into my glove compartment and took it!!! Its not like I had it out, all I had out was the holder. Besides, I was parked on the better side of Washington Heights, a relatively nice area. My car has been parked in some of the wildest hoods from NYC, NJ and all the way out to (at the time)Killadelphia, and nothing has ever happened. Sucks…
Anyway, a worthless police report, worthless Geico conversation, and $200+ later… the glass is fixed. I wonder if it’s a sign that I should sell my wheels?.?.? Gas is high as hell, and car insurance is like a damn scam. Yet another thing for a young renaissance man-in-training to dwell on….

Inspiration from 1956
Surely you have heard of this Esquire Magazine article about style in the last 80 or so years. Right? By no means do I want to really promote esquire to much but here is the link to the images.
http://www.esquire.com/style/style-evolution-0908
Some of the outfits are wild but this outfit that is supposed to represent style in 1956 stuck out to me. I love it. I may try to get someone to make me a jacket like this for my wedding or maybe the reception. How suave. Until next time...

Never is not as good as later.....
When I said that i would update the blog Monday, I didnt mean this one, but hey, never is worst than later. I did go to PS1, but guess what happened? I was taking pictures with my phone and my battery was dying by the time I got there. That sucks. I only got a few bad pictures and no good ones.
The event was great though. I went alone which was wack but whatever. It was nice to concentrate on the music bymyself. I got there around 5, an hour or so after things started and Metro Area was DJing. That was crazy, I am sure that the two of them are great DJs together but Morgan Geist was ODing when he came on. I wasn't dancing because I was on the side bobbing my head trying to look cool and mysterious since I was alone but my head was definitely bobbing harder when he was playing songs. Oh, and by the way, I never heard any of the songs they played; they were all disco, all hot. Then at around 6:30 6:45 Kelley Polar came out. He killed it. The thing was, as time went on the place got PACKED. The crowd was very eclectic. All sorts of people were there. There seemed to be a punk presence there which I though was cool, then alotta hipsters n shit. I was standing next to this older dude with a big beard who seemed cool. I'm a shy guy though. I kinda wanted to say watup to him and I bet you he wanted to say watup to me too. We never ended up making it happen though.
I was about to leave because my feet were getting tired and I didnt have that much sleep then he played Vocalise so I stayed for a couple more minutes. Look at the few pics I did end up taking,

Then after this, I went home and slept for a couple hours, woke up and went to Andrew's party. That was packed too. I couldn't even get a drink from the bar. I had to hang to the side. Last week was a crazy one. I will keep you updated.

The unGodly Hours
There is a thin line between the early morning and the ungodly hours of 4 5 and 6 in the morning. I decided I would work this Saturday and I can tell it will be a crazy day. Already, I took the dollar cab and saw 4 police cars in front of Temptations in Brooklyn and plus look at the jeans I saw this morning on the train (not really jeans but I like to call all pants jeans. Look at those green spikes, crazy right?).
Im not sure I shouldve come in this morning. The flowers in the office were sending me a bad message. Look, they are dying
Anyway, today is looking to be a packed one. I am working until 4 then going straight to ps 1. Look at my confirmation
