I know we have all seen a lot of movies in our time. Once in a while, a real great sports movie comes along. One that captures the love, passion and dedication for the sport that only a true fan\former athlete would appreciate. I know we have all seen the movie "Rudy". That guy's drive was truly amazing. So amazing that I am not afraid to say that it brought me to tears! I'm actually not sure what exactly it was. Could be the fact that the Giants won the Superbowl (although I am a J-E-T-S fan at heart, but a proud New Yorker all the same); Or the fact that Sean Astin is am amazing actor. Nonetheless, I teared...and teared real hard. Buying that movie for $5 bucks at Wal-mart may have been one of the best purchases I have ever made, and I will make sure to pop it in every time I'm bitchin about something that just ain't that bad. Tonight I will have a drink to Rudy. To the real dude, and to Sean Astin; cause dammit, Samwise Gamgee was Rudy of middle earth........TO RUDY!!!
